I have both Fios Internet and Fios TV. I have had Fios Internet the longest. I have to admit, It Rocks! Yes with a capital “R” I own an Internet Radio station and Fios just made life easier for me. I upload lots of MP3′s to my server for broadcast and the wait was getting just too old. I had DSL and the download speeds were decent, I had few complaints there but the uploads just plain sucked! That was Pre-Fios.

 

With this new baby, I crank up my play tunes, submit and in no time the play list is ready for broadcast. This is great for those of you who use Streaming sites out there like Audio Realm and Live365. Storage space is like prime real estate with these guys. I have never understood why they charge so much for storage given the fact that storage devices have come down in price.

 

I use Live365 and have to cough up over $40 a month just for 500mb of space. That is barely 20 hours worth of music. This means to save on money, I am constantly uploading music, deleting tunes and uploading some more in order to create fresh play lists. I know I could do a Live feed from my PC but that is another story. You can see how Fios saves me tons of hours when I need to upload a new play list.

 

I have to come back and finish this TV section later coz right now, I got Football to watch baby. Today is Opening day for 2006 NFL season….later
